HERB GARDEN

The extensive herb garden at Landsdale Farm features clearly labelled information for the various herbs. Browse through the garden and enjoy the peace, tranquillity and general ambience. Use all your senses!

In the centre of the herb garden is a “Garden Pavilion” where you are welcome to sit and enjoy morning tea, lunch or a snack. BBQs are available.

The garden beds are build up with stacks of tyres so that people with mobility difficulties do not have to bend down to access the herbs.

You will also notice many herbs growing to a size much larger than you would anticipate. Many of our visitors remark on the variety of plants.

The herb beds are divided according to their uses including medicinal, culinary, cosmetic, insecticidal, household, flowering and decorative. Don’t forget to read the herb labels for more information.

The Tyre Sensory Garden has many sensory and aromatic plants. Look out for the "feel me" and "smell me" tags, but don’t forget to "look" at the various leaf shapes and sizes, and interesting vein patterns.

Note: Tyres do not give off toxins to the plants or the surrounding areas. We have obtained this information from the State Health authorities and the Biological Farmers of Australia Group.
