GNOMES
In the Herb Garden are Gnomes who live, work and play. They tend the plants and make and administer herbal remedies for the farm animals.When you visit the farm make sure you find all of the gnomes. A worksheet / quiz sheet is available from the Canteen. Each Gnome has a name and your quest is to find them all. Did you know that Gnomes live with their parents until they are 100 years old!
Gnome Features
Physical Appearance
- Eyes are usually grey
- Their cheeks become “red apple” colour with age
- They have lots of laugh wrinkles round their eyes
- Male gnomes let their beards grow and grow
- An adult male gnome weighs about 300 grams
- An adult female weighs about 270 grams
- They are about 15 cm tall! (Without their hat!)
- They wear a red hat so that friends and birds do not mistake them for a mouse
- A gnome is in his prime around 275 years old
- A gnome's life span is about 400 years
- Gnomes are about 7 times stronger than humans
- Gnomes can smell 19 times better than humans
- Gnomes have sharp vision in the dark
